Av. Arb. Yıldız Tuğçe Erduran – Founder, Partner

Yıldız Tuğçe Erduran graduated from the Faculty of Law in 2013 and earned a master’s degree in Public Law at Istanbul University in 2019.

Her thesis was released as a book by a prominent publisher. Her articles have been featuring in the Intellectual Property Law Yearbooks as well as numerous journals. Throughout her career, she has continued to organize seminars and training programs in her field of expertise at distinguished institutions such as Yıldız Technical University, various non-governmental organizations, and bar associations.

Erduran has gained experience in the field of corporate law in offices based in Munich, London and Washington D.C. She has served as general counsel for a multinational company based in Chicago. She has provided consulting services to startup companies supported by Koç University, Gebze Technical University, and Üsküdar University’s entrepreneurship offices.

Her expertise as a legal consultant entails providing legal advice to non-governmental organizations and associations (such as “The Bridge”) regarding their establishment, legislation, and compliance. In addition to these services, she also provide consultation on OFAC- and UCSIS-related transactions regarding funds to associations.

She continues to carry out joint studies with leading businesses and institutions, including The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, in the field of intellectual property.

Today, she’s leading Kalic Erduran as its founding partner and providing businesses, individuals and institutions from all over the globe with a world-class legal service. She is also a Mediator under the Ministry of Justice.

Av. Arb. Nihan Duygu Kaliç – Founder, Partner

Nihan D. Kalic is a trusted counsel who provides a wide range of legal services whose specialty areas can be listed as Banking and Finance Law, Capital Markets Law, Contracts Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Data Protection Law, Tech Law, Dispute Resolution and Mediation.

She began her law career at Pekin Bayar, one of the oldest law firms in Turkey. During her career she attended several certified trainings such as Investment Protection, Capital Markets Law, Guarantee and Standby Letters (ICC), ISDA Master Agreement, Mediation and Personal Data Protection. During her time at Pekin Bayar, she worked on the corporate governance compliance processes of AvivaSA. She worked with several banks and insurance companies then carried on her practice under Göktaş Attorneys at Law.

In 2017 she became a legal counsel at Halkbank, one of Turkey’s oldest state-owned banking institutions. At Halkbank she led the establishment and early operations of the International Law and Overseas Transactions departments of the institution while working on one of the largest and most complex cases of the bank’s history. Following Halkbank where she gained unmatched experience in in commercial law, banking and finance law, capital markets law, Kalic worked as a legal counsel in the tech industry and focused on some of the most relevant legal topics of the contemporary era such as Data Protection, Fintech and Startup Consulting.

Nihan is also the Co-Founder and Chief Legal Counsel of Anchora Global, an overseas investment, immigration and international business consulting firm that specializes in employment-based “immigrant investor” visa programs in the United States, investment-based citizenship programs in Europe and start-up management consulting for global entrepreneurs.

Ms. Kalic is a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Law, one of the oldest and most reputable law schools in the region, founded in 1874. Throughout her career she attended several certified trainings such as Investment Protection, Capital Markets Law, Guarantee and Standby Letters (ICC), ISDA Master Agreement, Mediation and Personal Data Protection. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Law and Compliance from Universidad Internacional de Valencia.

Çağlar Coşkun, like other members of our team, graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law. Throughout his career, he has worked at the reputable law firms of the sector, starting with Mirze-Rencber Law Firm, particularly contributing to consultancy and litigation processes inn corporate and commercial law.

He also specializes in rental and real estate law, labor law and contract law, areas in which he brought numerous victories to his clients. Having studied Information Systems Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Çağlar stands out with his know-how in contemporary matters particularly concerning the Industry 5.0 era, such as information law and technology law.

Merve Elif Dönmez graduated with honors from Maltepe University Faculty of Law in 2022 and subsequently began working at Yılmaz & Usyılmaz Law Firm. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in litigation, particularly in the fields of labor law, enforcement and bankruptcy law, rental law, consumer law, and criminal law. She continues to participate in training programs in commercial law, real estate law, and criminal and execution law. Elif is also a member of the Istanbul Bar Association’s Animal Rights Center, where she contributes to the work carried out in this area.
